My role

Conceived, architected and designed it. Chose the APIs, led the build, tested, launched and sold it.

Results

  • Paying groups turn private answers into shared decisions on ownership, money and exit.
  • Surfaces disagreements, missing information and risks before buyers commit.
  • A human-reviewed CoBuy Decision Brief™ within 48 hours of alignment, with financial context and prioritized next steps.

What it is

Buying a home with other people fails on the conversations nobody has. Who pays what. Who lives there. What happens when someone wants out.

CoBuy Wizard has each co-buyer answer the same questions privately, finances included. Then the group sees where it lines up and where it doesn’t, and works each open point to agreement: ownership, costs, decisions, exit.

Once the group is aligned, we review the answers and send a CoBuy Decision Brief™ within 48 hours. It’s a clean, neutral read of the group’s combined finances, readiness, risks and next steps, before money is on the line.

It’s for any group thinking about buying a home together, before they spend money finding out.

More proof
  • A reprise of the Wizard at the core of our original platform, in use by early 2018.
  • The first sale was an agent referral.
  • The Decision Brief separates what a group can afford, what could break the arrangement, and whether they’re ready.
  • The brief only generates once every answer it needs is in. Hard rules keep it accurate and in scope.
  • 49 written acceptance cases cover contradictions, missing data and weak confidence.
  • Users, groups, invitations, alignment and payment status sync to one operating view.
