Simple Will creator

Working build · private LegalAI2024, rebuilt 2026

4 questions show Washington’s default estate plan. A guided studio turns your choices into a will draft.

ProofAI proposes. A compiler writes every clause.

The Simple Will studio, with questions about assets on the left and the will being typeset live on the right

My role

Conceived it and built it. Designed the intake, document architecture, signature process and safeguards.

Results

  • The document is always compiled from a versioned clause library. Same answers, same will, every time.
  • 3 signatures, each tied to the exact text signed.
  • Per-user access, with an optional conversational intake.

What it is

Most people don’t have a will because the process is slow, expensive, and easy to put off.

Simple Will starts with what happens if you do nothing. 4 questions, and it shows you Washington’s default plan for your estate. Then a guided studio builds your draft live as you answer, and takes you through signing with two witnesses.

It’s a working application. It isn’t released, and attorney review is still to come.
